PITTSBURGH ATTORNEY SELECTED AS PEER REVIEWER FOR NATIONAL HEALTH CARE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE
Pittsburgh, PA–Intellectual property and healthcare information technology law attorney Lee Kim has been selected to the national peer review panel for the 2012 annual conference of HIMSS–Health Information Management Systems Society. Ms. Kim is the only private practice attorney out of the more than 200 national experts selected for the highly-coveted review process.
“I am very honored to have been chosen, am eager to review the educational proposals from the many respected and well-known health information technology experts in the country,” Ms. Kim said. “The field is growing exponentially and to be asked to be part of the national process is exciting.”
The peer review process used by HIMSS “enhances the efficiency and maximizes the quality of the education offerings.” Ms. Kim and the other reviewers are seen as the “backbone" of the conference’s educational process.
Following the review and selection process, Ms. Kim–who was just voted a 2011 Pennsylvania “Rising Star” Super Lawyer –and the other peer reviewers will also act as coaches during the presentation preparation process and as moderators for the presentations during the national HIMSS12 conference.
